Ellie doesn't offer help at first, because trusting strange people you find in the woods isn't always the best idea. But somewhere at heart, through her rage and her grief, she isn't someone who just sits there and watches another person struggle. Not when she could help. So she does come closer and offer a hand to Elsa.

"Well, I didn't decide to try to hang out in a snowbank," she says, humour evident in her tone. "So I guess I'm doing okay. Weird shit happens out here. Did you, um, just wake up here?"
