Sluggish was putting it mildly. He was exhausted and just done with living. But he needed to take Charles away and let him die on his own terms, in a place where there was no chance of it being taken away. And he'd failed at doing that, even despite his best efforts.

Did he really try his best though? Somehow he doesn't think so.

Logan looks at her. "I need running water," he answers, his tone revealing that stubbornness that he was famous for. There were injuries, the ones between his knuckles especially, that will force questions to be asked and he's quite sure he doesn't have the patience to explain mutants and superheroes to a girl who looks like she should be in a fairytale movie. "Can you help me with that?"

If she can't, then he'll be on his way.
