Ellie is out in the woods looking fruitlessly for anything: signs of animals, something worth foraging, and maybe new arrivals. It's not really clear when or when someone else will show up. Ellie hasn't encountered anyone else out here in awhile, but today she hears someone call out in the snow.
"Hey! Stay put, I'll find you!" she calls out. At least it's not terribly foggy here today. After a minute or two, she catches up to the sound of Peter's voice. She comes toward him, wary because she can't help but be, and stops a few feet away, well out of arm's reach. You just never know, right?
