He does glance back toward the other voice, long enough to catch sight of another person there. A part of him wants to argue that it's a friend of his, even though it doesn't really feel like Ben at all. It feels... not right. And he notes the way this person said "that" and not "him."
"Why? What is it?" he calls back, though for now, he's leaving his options open, still not letting Ben--or whatever it is that appears to be Ben--get out of his range of vision.
