WHERE TO FIND IT: You can see a REALLY good version of TLOU done as a film here. It's almost five hours long but super worth it. You can see TLOU2 here. It's uhhhhh 10 hours RIP. There are other versions and I don't know if this is The Best but as a fun fact, TLOU2 is wildly triggering for me so I'm not going to watch it and find out! I played it, it's seared into my mind.
AS A WARNING there's a ton of triggering things throughout including murder, children dying/being killed, gore, body horror, cannibalism, religious cult type things esp in the second game. Still, they're worth playing and/or watching!
💚 WHAT YOU LOVE ABOUT IT: I'm a sucker for post-apocalyptic bullshit so that's why I originally played the first game. The world building is amazing. The characters are so incredibly human and flawed and fucked up and messy and emotional and you just fall in love with them so easily. Also Ellie is canonically lesbian and that's really rare in a big name game to have that focus. It's a character-driven story despite being like A Zombie Game(tm). Also I thought the zombie thing was an interesting take.
