PLAYED MUSE: Ellie
WHERE TO FIND IT: You can see a REALLY good version of TLOU done as a film here. It's almost five hours long but super worth it. You can see TLOU2 here. It's uhhhhh 10 hours RIP. There are other versions and I don't know if this is The Best but as a fun fact, TLOU2 is wildly triggering for me so I'm not going to watch it and find out! I played it, it's seared into my mind.
AS A WARNING there's a ton of triggering things throughout including murder, children dying/being killed, gore, body horror, cannibalism, religious cult type things esp in the second game. Still, they're worth playing and/or watching!
πŸ’š WHAT YOU LOVE ABOUT IT: I'm a sucker for post-apocalyptic bullshit so that's why I originally played the first game. The world building is amazing. The characters are so incredibly human and flawed and fucked up and messy and emotional and you just fall in love with them so easily. Also Ellie is canonically lesbian and that's really rare in a big name game to have that focus. It's a character-driven story despite being like A Zombie Game(tm). Also I thought the zombie thing was an interesting take.

WHERE TO FIND IT: Hulu
πŸ’š WHAT YOU LOVE ABOUT IT: It's a very different take on a crime procedural, with a strong focus on the characters. It has a really realistic portrayal of mental illness. The writing is sharp and witty. It can go from hilarious to dark af. But at the heart of it, every character is great and you want to know them better.

PLAYED MUSE: Doc Holliday
WHERE TO FIND IT: Netflix
πŸ’š WHAT YOU LOVE ABOUT IT: The show has elements of Supernatural and Buffy and a little bit of Jessica Jones, and it's big on queer representation and simply accepts everyone as they come for who they are. It starts out a bit procedural/monster of the week but really comes into its own and digs deeper into its lore later on. It's just a really fun show with lots of ups, downs and sideways feels, and shit gets really wild.

PLAYED MUSE: Raylan Givens
WHERE TO FIND IT: Amazon Prime I'm not sure where else /cry
πŸ’š WHAT YOU LOVE ABOUT IT: It's a comedy, no matter what it calls itself, with a solid storyline about Kentucky and it's Marshals - Y'all remember the Movie US Marshals? /chefs kiss - Six seasons of Marshal goodness.

WHERE TO FIND IT: Most video game consoles and PC. Additionally, you can find several films featuring primarily Leon on streaming sites, etc.
πŸ’š WHAT YOU LOVE ABOUT IT: Do you like wrestling? Do you like genuinely strong female characters who through almost 25 years of history there's never been a single question to their skill or abilities or a situation they're treated differently in? Do you like a variety of backgrounds for characters? How about a spooky backdrop? You got it.

RE is dumb and fun shootbangs with fantastic characters and plenty of opportunity for shenanigans! It's written with a serious tone although the first few can on/off come off as a joke. Bonus: adult characters rather than focusing on younger ones. The designs for characters also get better with every installment (up until RE Engine, anyway). There's a lot of reasons to like RE and it's hard to pin it down. But it might be the bad jokes at the top for me. :')
